Post Occupancy Evaluation of Energy Consumption of Dublin City Council, Wood Quay Offices

TrinityHaus is working with Dublin City Council to address the building energy consumption at its offices. This project aims to indentify all energy uses in a building and by matching the operational use of the building to the installed plant, the process will identify and eliminate avoidable waste. Following an initial observation, measurement and analysis, significant annual monetary savings and a CO2 reduction of 750 tonnes per annum are achievable.

Energy Efficient Retrofitting - Embodied Energy, LCA

Embodied Energy and LCA for Energy Efficient Retrofitting

An improved life cycle assessment methodology is developed to compare the embodied energy of modern buildings within Trinity College Dublin against their operational energy consumption.  This will influence policy and decisions with respect to maintenance and future retrofitting of modern buildings on the campus and within Dublin city.
